There is something truly special about late June at M&D Farm. The gardens are at their fullest, the peonies are in bloom, and every corner of the property feels alive.
When Molly and Chris first visited, they immediately connected with the relaxed, European-inspired atmosphere that makes M&D Farm unique. After celebrating with family and friends in nearby Hudson, they chose our gardens for the most meaningful part of their wedding weekend, their wedding day.
From the moment guests arrived, they embraced the experience. Rather than gathering near the ceremony space, many wandered through the gardens, explored the pond, and discovered the different corners of the property before the celebration began. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying the venue exactly as it was intended.
Their outdoor ceremony took place in front of the Barn Courtyard, followed by an alfresco reception beneath a sailcloth tent on one of those perfect June evenings that Upstate New York is known for. The gardens provided a beautiful backdrop throughout the day, with peonies and early summer blooms adding effortless color and texture.
Molly looked stunning in a timeless vintage-inspired gown, later changing into a second dress that carried the same elegant character. The atmosphere remained relaxed and joyful from beginning to end. Chris even joined the band to sing, and before long, several guests joined in for an unforgettable jam session that had everyone enjoying themselves.
One comment from Chris stayed with us. At one point during the evening, he shared that several guests had told him it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever attended. We told him that many guests had quietly shared the very same sentiment with us as well.
Some weddings are remembered for elaborate details. Others stay with you because everything feels genuine, welcoming, and beautifully connected to the setting. Molly and Chris' celebration was one of those days, and these photographs capture that feeling far better than words ever could.
