Susan and Jaeho’s June wedding at M&D Farm was a beautiful celebration of love, family, friendship and culture, all surrounded by the gardens and natural beauty of early summer in Upstate New York.
June is a particularly special time at M&D Farm. The gardens are lush and green, peonies are in bloom, foxgloves rise above the flower beds, and everything feels wonderfully alive. For Susan and Jaeho, that natural setting became part of a wedding that was elegant and thoughtful, but also warm, relaxed and deeply personal.
The day began with a quiet first look in the gardens. Surrounded by greenery and summer flowers, Susan and Jaeho shared one of those wonderfully genuine moments that needed very little else around it. Susan wore a romantic strapless gown with a full skirt and carried a loose garden-style bouquet in soft pink, cream and green, while Jaeho kept things classic in a black tuxedo.
Their outdoor ceremony brought family and friends together beneath the trees and surrounded by flowers. It was a ceremony filled with love and a beautiful sense of spirituality, with live music adding an especially moving moment to the celebration. The garden-inspired florals blended naturally into the surroundings, allowing the landscape itself to remain an important part of the setting.
After the ceremony, the celebration moved into the gardens for cocktail hour. Guests wandered through the property, gathered beneath the trees, shared drinks and conversations, and simply enjoyed being together. There was no need for everyone to remain in one place. The gardens became part of the experience, giving friends and family space to mingle, explore and enjoy a June afternoon in the country.
Dinner followed outdoors in the Dining Courtyard. Soft garden florals, brass candlesticks and personal details dressed the tables, while the surrounding trees and gardens created the backdrop. As the afternoon light softened and the string lights began to glow overhead, the courtyard took on an entirely different atmosphere.
Throughout the day, Susan and Jaeho incorporated elements of their Korean heritage in ways that felt personal and completely natural to their celebration. Later in the evening, they changed into beautiful traditional Korean hanbok, creating another memorable moment and bringing culture and family heritage into the wedding in a meaningful way.
What we especially loved about Susan and Jaeho’s wedding was how naturally everything came together. There was beauty and elegance, but also an unmistakable sense of warmth. Their culture was celebrated, family and friends were at the heart of the day, and the gardens provided a setting where everyone could relax and simply enjoy being together.
As evening arrived, dinner under the trees gave way to drinks, laughter, time around the fire and dancing in the barn. The celebration became increasingly relaxed and joyful, ending the day exactly as it had unfolded from the beginning: surrounded by the people who mattered most.
